WHAT IS VIRTUAL POSTER?

Virtual poster presentations will allow participants who are not able to travel to share their research in the IFRC 2017. This is an exciting program that will enable students to present their works in an electronic format along with a videotaped explanation of the studies done. Please include the high resolution PDF version of your poster alongside your abstract (150-300 words) and videotaped explanation. 

All accepted abstracts and full papers will be published in the Conference Proceeding Book that will be printed with International Standard Book Number (ISBN). Selected papers will be recommended for publication in “International Food Research Journal”, Malaysia’s prestigious journal that is ISSN- Scopus indexed journal.

 

WHAT IS 3-MINUTES ORATORY?

3-Minutes Oratory is a competition that will be held during the IFRC 2017 for the undergraduates to show their eloquence or skill in making speeches in public. Undergraduate students in Food Science and related fields from ASEAN countries are eligible to participate in the competition. This special event will give students a platform and opportunity to share their research to a wide audience.

A relevant topic will be given 30 min prior to competition

Student will deliver his/her 3-min presentation

The top 5 will be selected for the semi-final

 

A new topic will be given to the semi-finalist 10 min prior to semi-final competition

 

Student will deliver his/her 3-min presentation

 

The top 3 will be selected for the final competition

 

A new topic will be given to the finalist 10 min prior to final competition

 

Student will deliver his/her 3-min presentation

 

The winners for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be announced during closing ceremony

Thank you for your registration. The date, time and venue of the competition have been changed to as follows:-

Date:     July 27, 2017 / Thursday

Time:    9.00 AM – 12.00 PM

Venue:  Angsana Putra Room 1 and 2, Complex of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation),     

              Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang.

Please be on time as the secretariat will start to distribute the topic on-site for the first round of the competition. The presentation will be evaluated based on Communication style, Comprehension of the topic, and Engagement to the judge/audience. The topic may come from the following themes:
